Is the Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 worth $3,249.00?

At $3,249.00 at B&H Photo-Video-Audio as of November 6, 2026, you are paying near the top of its recent range. It is a strong 1600p 240Hz machine, but wait for a drop if you are not in a hurry.

How does it compare with the previous generation?

The Gen 9 keeps the 16-inch 240Hz 1600p formula and moves to newer Intel and NVIDIA parts. Expect better frame rates and efficiency rather than a redesign.

Is 32GB of storage enough?

No. A single large game can exceed that, so plan on adding an SSD or buying a higher-capacity configuration.

How long does the battery really last?

The rated 8 hours applies to light use. Gaming or heavy creative work unplugged will drain it in a fraction of that time.

Does it have a touchscreen?

Yes, this configuration lists a touchscreen, which is unusual on a gaming laptop and adds glare.

Gaming laptops like this typically drop during back-to-school and holiday sales. Track the price history and buy below the recent range rather than at $3,249.00.
