Questions and answers

Is the Legion R45w-30 worth it at $450?
At $450 at Mercari as of November 3, 2026, it is cheap for a 5120 x 1440 165 Hz monitor. If you want immersion and desk-hub features more than esports-grade motion clarity, it is a strong buy.
How does it compare with a 49-inch 32:9 monitor?
It is smaller and lower resolution than 5120 x 1440 49-inch models, so pixel density is similar but the image is less wide. The 45-inch size is easier to fit on a normal desk.
Is 165 Hz enough for competitive gaming?
165 Hz is fine for most players, but the VA panel's 9 ms GtG response causes smearing in fast shooters. Competitive players are better served by a faster IPS or OLED panel.
Does it work with a Mac or laptop over USB-C?
Yes, USB-C carries video and the built-in hub adds Ethernet and USB. Check that your laptop supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and the full 5120 x 1440 resolution at 165 Hz.
What is in the box?
Expect the monitor, stand, power cable and a DisplayPort or HDMI cable. Confirm the exact cable bundle with the seller, since listings vary.
When is it cheapest?
32:9 gaming monitors usually drop during Black Friday and back-to-school sales. The current $450 is already near the bottom of its recent range, so waiting may not save much.
Where is the Lenovo Legion R45w-30 45" Curved Gaming Monitor cheapest?
At Mercari, for $450.00, 60% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Lenovo Legion R45w-30 45" Curved Gaming Monitor?
