Our take on the LeonLite 20W Dual-Head Dusk to Dawn LED Outdoor Security Light Photocell

The LeonLite is a bronze aluminum dual-head flood light with integrated LEDs, a dusk-to-dawn photocell and a motion sensor. It puts out 2500 lumens at 25W and lets you pick among three color temperatures (3CCT). It is a hardwired 120V fixture, so it needs an existing outdoor junction box rather than a plug. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.

Questions and answers

Is the LeonLite worth it over a basic flood light?
If you want dusk-to-dawn plus motion in one hardwired fixture, it saves adding a separate photocell or timer. A plain flood light is cheaper but needs a switch or smart control.
Can I change the color temperature?
Yes. It is 3CCT, so you select warm, neutral or cool white during setup. The setting is made on the fixture, not from a wall switch.
Does it need a neutral wire or a switch?
It is a 120V hardwired fixture that mounts to a standard outdoor junction box. The photocell handles on/off, so a switch is optional.
How bright is 2500 lumens?
That is roughly comparable to a 150W incandescent flood light, enough to light a driveway or back entry. It is not a stadium-style area light.
What is in the box?
The fixture, mounting hardware and instructions. Bulbs are not included because the LEDs are integrated.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor lighting tends to drop around spring and fall home-improvement sales. Check the price history on this page before buying.
