Only as a cheap LTE tablet for basic tasks. Its 2019 hardware and 32 GB storage make it a poor choice for gaming or long-term use at a high price.

Does it work with a SIM card?

Yes, it has a microSD slot. A card is close to mandatory given the 32 GB of built-in storage.

How long does the battery last?

The 8,200 mAh battery is large for a 10.1-inch tablet and typically lasts a full day of mixed light use.

What Android version does it run?

It shipped with Android 9 Pie in September 2019. Expect no major OS upgrades beyond that era.

Our take on the LG G Pad 5 10.1 FHD Tablet

The LG G Pad 5 10.1 is a 2019 Android tablet with a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 display, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB storage and an 8,200 mAh battery. It stands out mainly for built-in 4G LTE, so it works on a cellular plan without a hotspot. The hardware is dated: an older mid-range processor, 32 GB storage and Android from the 2019 era. It is a budget, carrier-oriented tablet rather than a current mainstream one.
