Our take on the LG Signature Series WM9998HBA Mega Capacity Washer and Dryer Combo

The LG Signature WM9998HBA is an all-in-one front-load washer and ventless electric dryer with a 5.8 cu ft drum, the largest capacity LG puts in a combo. It pairs an Inverter Direct Drive motor with AI Sensor Dry, steam, and an LCD touchscreen that replaces the usual dials. It is Energy Star Most Efficient (iMEF 3.2, CEE Advanced Tier). The best new price is $2,293 at US Appliance as of November 7, 2026, with only one store listing it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.

Questions and answers

Is a washer dryer combo as good as separate machines?
A combo saves floor space and vents nothing, but it dries more slowly and cannot wash one load while drying another. Buy it for space and convenience, not for speed.
How big is the 5.8 cu ft drum?
5.8 cu ft is large for a combo and close to a full-size standalone front loader. It fits king-size bedding, though a wet load still has to dry in the same drum.
Does it need a vent?
No. It is an electric ventless combo, so it needs a 240V outlet and a drain but no dryer duct. That makes it usable in closets and apartments.
What does the touchscreen control?
The LCD touchscreen replaces the dial and buttons for cycles, temperature, and dry settings. AI Sensor Dry chooses dryness on its own when you use the sensor cycle.
Is $2,293 a good price?
Only one store lists it new at $2,293 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing price to compare. Watch for seasonal appliance sales before buying.
What is in the box?
The washer dryer combo and its power cord. Hoses and a drain kit are usually sold separately, so confirm with the store before ordering.
Where is the LG Signature Series WM9998HBA Mega Capacity Washer and Dryer Combo cheapest?
At US Appliance, for $2,293.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the LG Signature Series WM9998HBA Mega Capacity Washer and Dryer Combo?
