Our take on the Liberty Garden Navigator Rotating Hose Reel

The Liberty Garden Navigator is a wall-mounted steel hose reel that pivots 90 degrees on a solid brass swivel, so you can pull the hose toward the garden bed or driveway without dragging it around a corner. It holds up to 125 feet of 5/8-inch hose on a manual crank with eight locking positions, and the 18-gauge steel body has a powder-coat finish rated weather- and UV-resistant. A storage tray on top holds nozzles and small tools. At $149.99 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the six stores that carry it new.

  • Eight locking positions hold the drum where you stop cranking

  • Top storage tray keeps nozzles and small parts handy
  • Assembly is minimal: attach the crank handle
Cons
  • Manual crank only, no powered retraction
  • Mounting hardware is not included
  • 18 pounds empty, so it needs solid wall anchoring
  • Bronze finish and classic look won't suit every exterior

Questions and answers

Is the Liberty Garden Navigator worth it over a plastic reel?
If you want a reel that lasts outdoors, yes. The 18-gauge steel body and brass swivel are built to outlast plastic reels, and at $149.99 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026 it is priced at the low end of its recent range.
Does it come with mounting hardware?
No. The box includes the reel and handle, but you supply the lag bolts or anchors. Pick fasteners that match your wall, especially on siding or brick.
How much hose does it hold?
Up to 125 feet of standard 5/8-inch hose. A shorter hose will leave empty drum space, which is fine but makes the crank feel lighter.
Can it mount on vinyl siding?
It can, but you need to anchor into studs or use siding-appropriate mounts. The reel weighs 18 pounds empty and much more with a full hose, so a hollow-siding anchor alone won't hold.
When is the best time to buy it?
Spring is peak hose-reel season, so late fall and winter tend to bring the lowest prices. The current $149.99 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026 is already near the bottom of its range.
Where is the Liberty Garden Navigator Rotating Hose Reel cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $149.99, as of our latest check.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 692 ratings.
Where can I buy the Liberty Garden Navigator Rotating Hose Reel?
