Our take on the Life Fitness G2 Home Gym

The Life Fitness G2 is a cable-based home gym built around a leg press station, with a gray frame and a compact footprint for a full multi-station machine. It is aimed at home lifters who want gym-style leg work without a rack of plates. The best new price is $1,799 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, and that is the only price seen since November 4, 2026, so there is no cheaper recent point to wait for.

Best forHome lifters who want a leg press at homeBuyers with floor space for a multi-station machinePeople who prefer cable and selectorized resistance over free weightsHouseholds sharing one machine for lower-body training
Pros
  • Leg press station is the centerpiece, a movement most home setups lack
  • Cable and pulley design gives smooth, guided resistance
  • Compact enough for a home gym room compared with plate-loaded leg presses
  • Life Fitness is an established commercial gym brand
  • Gray frame suits most home gym interiors
Cons
  • $1,799 is a serious outlay for a single-machine purchase
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin
  • Leg press focus means less upper-body variety than a full multi-gym
  • Large and heavy; needs a dedicated room and likely assembly help
  • Little recent price movement, so no discount window to time

Questions and answers

Is the Life Fitness G2 worth $1,799?
If a leg press is your priority and you have the room, the guided resistance and Life Fitness build justify it for many buyers. If you want broad upper-body work, a multi-gym with more stations may suit you better.
Does the G2 include upper-body exercises?
The listing centers on the leg press station. Check the exact station list with the seller before buying if upper-body work matters to you.
How much space does it need?
It is a full multi-station machine, so plan a dedicated area rather than a corner. Measure your room against the seller's footprint dimensions before ordering.
Is assembly required?
Yes. Machines of this size ship in parts and need assembly, and two people make it far easier.
When is the best time to buy?
The price has held at $1,799 at eBay since November 4, 2026, with no cheaper recent point. Waiting has not produced a discount so far.
Who sells it new?
Only eBay lists it new at $1,799 as of November 7, 2026, so compare carefully before buying elsewhere.
Where is the Life Fitness G2 Home Gym cheapest?
At eBay, for $1,799.00, as of our latest check.
