Our take on the Lifewit 100L Laundry Basket with Lid

The Lifewit 100L Laundry Basket with Lid is a large rectangular hamper made of polyester over a bamboo frame, with a lid, dual handles and a removable inner bag. It folds flat when empty, which suits small apartments and closets. The 100L capacity holds roughly three to four loads of laundry. Its listed dimensions (about 16.1 by 13.2 by 13.5 in) look small for a 100L volume, so check the actual footprint before buying.

Pros
  • Large 100L capacity
  • Lid keeps laundry out of sight and contains odor
  • Removable inner bag lifts out for carrying to the machine
  • Folds flat when empty
  • Dual handles on two sides
  • Bamboo and polyester frame is lighter than wicker
Cons
  • Only 3.2 out of 5 from 6 ratings
  • Stated dimensions look inconsistent with 100L capacity
  • Fabric sides can sag when full
  • Not machine washable as a whole; only the inner bag removes
  • Lid is not sealed, so odor control is limited

Questions and answers

Is the Lifewit 100L basket worth it?
It is a budget option for a large lidded hamper that folds flat. With only 6 ratings at 3.2 out of 5, treat build quality as a gamble and check the return policy.
How big is it really?
The listed dimensions are 16.1 by 13.2 by 13.5 in, which does not add up to 100L. Measure your space and confirm the actual size with the seller before ordering.
Can I wash the basket?
Only the removable inner bag is meant to be washed. Wipe the polyester and bamboo outer frame by hand and let it dry fully before refolding.
Does it hold its shape when full?
The bamboo frame holds the rectangular shape, but the fabric sides can bulge when packed with heavy loads. Do not overfill it if you carry it by the handles.
What is in the box?
The basket arrives folded, with the lid and the removable inner bag included. No liner or divider is listed.
When is it cheapest?
Laundry hampers like this one usually drop during back-to-school and January sales. Ask our agent to compare current store prices and the price history.
