How to Measure for Linen Sheer Café Curtains (Double Pinch Pleat)
1. Decide where you’ll install the rod
Inside mount (rod inside the window frame):
Measure the exact inside width of your window frame. Add 5–10% extra width so the pleated curtain closes neatly without small gaps.
Example: Window inside width = 30” → Order about 32–33” finished width.
Outside mount (rod outside and wider than the frame):
Measure the full width of the rod you’ll install. Again, add 5–10% extra width for a comfortable closure and soft folds.
Example: Rod = 40” → Order about 42–44” finished width.
2. Choosing one or two panels
For one panel (pulling to one side): order the full width.
For two panels (meeting in the middle): divide the total width into two.
Example: Rod = 40” → Order two panels, each 21–22” wide.
