Our take on the LivePure 1.2 G Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

The LivePure 1.2 G is a small ultrasonic cool-mist humidifier with a 1.2-liter tank, three speeds, a sleep mode, a built-in humidistat and a timer. It needs no filter and shuts off automatically when the tank runs dry. Its rated coverage of up to 431 sq. ft. is optimistic for a tank this size, so expect it to suit a bedroom or office rather than a whole floor. At $49.99 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, with four stores listing it new.

Cons
  • 1.2 L tank needs frequent refills, often nightly on high

  • Ultrasonic mist can leave white dust with hard tap water
  • Small tank opening can make cleaning awkward

Questions and answers

Is the LivePure 1.2 G worth it?
At $49.99 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it is a reasonable budget pick for a bedroom. You get a humidistat, timer and filter-free operation, but the small tank means near-nightly refills.
How big a room will it actually humidify?
The listing claims up to 431 sq. ft., but a 1.2 L tank cannot sustain that. Treat it as a bedroom, nursery or office unit, roughly 150–200 sq. ft.
How often do I need to refill it?
On high, expect to refill most nights; on low or with the humidistat cycling, a tank may last a day or more. The refill indicator tells you when it is empty.
Does it need a filter?
No. It is filter-free, so there are no replacement costs. Rinse the tank and base regularly to prevent mineral buildup and mold.
Will it leave white dust?
Ultrasonic humidifiers can leave white dust when filled with hard tap water. Use distilled or filtered water to reduce it.
When is it cheapest?
Small humidifiers like this usually drop during spring clearance and early fall. Its current $49.99 is already near the bottom of its recent range.
Where is the LivePure 1.2 G Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier cheapest?
At Lowe's, for $49.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the LivePure 1.2 G Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier?
4 stores we checked sell it, including Target, Filter-Monster, Lowe's, LivePure.
