Our take on the LUGGEX Aluminum Frame Spinner Luggage

The LUGGEX Aluminum Frame Spinner Luggage is a two-piece hard-shell set in charcoal with an aluminum frame and four spinner wheels. The aluminum frame gives the shell more rigidity than a zippered clamshell and holds its shape when packed tight. At $149.99 at luggex as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Best forFrequent flyers who want a rigid, protective shellBuyers who prefer a frame closure over a zipperTravelers who want a matching two-piece setChecked-bag users who pack bulky items
Pros
  • Aluminum frame resists flexing and protects contents
  • Hard shell sheds rain and rough handling
  • Four spinner wheels roll upright through terminals
  • Two-piece set covers a short trip and a longer one
  • Charcoal finish hides scuffs
Cons
  • Frame closure adds weight versus a zippered shell
  • No zipper means no expandable packing room
  • Hard shells show scratches over time
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin

Questions and answers

Is the LUGGEX aluminum frame set worth $149.99?
At $149.99 for two hard-shell spinners, it is priced below most aluminum-frame sets. If you want a rigid frame and matching sizes, it is a fair buy.
How does an aluminum frame compare with a zippered shell?
The frame holds the shell rigid and protects contents better, but it adds weight and leaves no room to expand. Zippered bags are lighter and can stretch when overpacked.
What sizes are in the two-piece set?
The set pairs two spinner sizes meant for a short trip and a longer one. Confirm the exact dimensions on the listing before you buy, since carry-on limits vary by airline.
Does it have a built-in lock?
Aluminum-frame luggage usually ships with a combination lock on the frame. Check the listing for the lock type, since TSA-approved locks matter for US travel.
When is the price lowest?
Only one store lists it new at $149.99 as of November 4, 2026, so there is little discount history. Watch for set sales around holiday travel season.
Where is the LUGGEX Aluminum Frame Spinner Luggage cheapest?
At luggex, for $149.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the LUGGEX Aluminum Frame Spinner Luggage?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 57 ratings.
