Our take on the Lumary 20" Outdoor Smart RGBCW Ceiling Fan

The Lumary 20" Outdoor Smart RGBCW Ceiling Fan is a small, app- and voice-controlled fan with an integrated color-changing LED light, built for covered patios, porches and small outdoor rooms. It moves up to 3,125 CFM across six speeds and pairs with Alexa and Google Home, with a remote included. Its 20-inch span and 200-square-foot rating make it a compact fixture rather than a whole-deck fan. No current price was provided, so check the latest listed price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is this fan worth it?
If you want a small outdoor fan with voice control and color lighting in one unit, it is a reasonable pick. If you need strong airflow over a large patio, a bigger fan will serve you better.
How does it compare with a standard outdoor ceiling fan?
A standard fan of the same size usually costs less and has no app or color light. This one adds Alexa, Google Home and RGBCW lighting, which is the main reason to pay more.
How big a space will it cool?
Lumary rates it for rooms up to 200 square feet. That fits a small porch, gazebo or seating nook, not a full deck.
Does it work with Apple Home or Matter?
No. It lists Amazon Alexa and Google Home only, so Apple Home users will rely on the remote and app.
What is in the box?
The fan, an 11.8-inch downrod, mounting hardware and a remote. Check the listing for the exact accessory list before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Smart home fans like this tend to drop during Prime Day, Black Friday and spring outdoor-living sales. Compare the current price with its price history before buying.
