Questions and answers

Is the Galligher sofa worth $899?
At $899 at Macy's as of October 28, 2026, it is a fair price for a full-grain-look leather sofa with a corner-blocked frame. The price has not moved since that date, so there is no sale to wait for.
Is it good for tall people?
The seat is 21.65 inches deep and the back is 35 inches high overall, which suits average-height adults. Taller sitters may find the seat depth shallow for lounging.
How firm is it?
It uses 2.5 lb. density foam with a Dacron wrap, which most owners describe as supportive rather than plush. If you want a sink-in sofa, this is not it.
Does it fit through a standard door?
At 82 inches wide it ships as one piece, so check your entry width and stair turns before ordering. The legs are removable, which helps in tight hallways.
How do I clean the leather?
Owners report wiping spills with a damp rag works well. Use a leather conditioner a few times a year to keep the smooth finish from drying.
When is it cheapest?
The lowest recorded daily price is $899, set on October 28, 2026, and it has not dropped since. Watch for Macy's furniture sales around major holidays for a possible markdown.
Is the Macy's Galligher 82" Leather Sofa at its lowest price?
