Questions and answers

Is the MageGee 60 percent keyboard worth it?
For a cheap, compact mechanical board, yes. It covers the basics: linear switches, backlighting and cross-platform support. Expect a plastic build and no frills at this tier.
Does it have arrow keys?
The 68-key layout keeps a small cluster of arrow keys, unlike a strict 60 percent board. You lose the number pad and full function row.
Are red switches good for typing?
Red linear switches are light and smooth with no bump, which many gamers prefer. Some typists find them too easy to press by accident.
Does it work with a Mac?
Yes, it is listed as compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. Mac users may need to remap the Command and Option keys in system settings.
Is it wireless?
No. It is a wired USB keyboard, so plan for a cable on your desk.
When is it cheapest?
Budget mechanical boards like this usually dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history chart for its low point.
