Is the B52 worth it over a plain power rack?

If you want Smith machine and cable work in the same footprint, the B52 replaces two or three separate pieces. If you only squat and bench with a free bar, a simpler rack costs less.

How much ceiling height does it need?

The rack is 82.6 inches tall, so plan on at least 7 feet of clearance, plus room for pull-ups if you add an attachment. Measure before ordering for a basement.

What is the cable pulley ratio?

It is 2:1, so the load you feel is roughly half the plates you stack. That makes light plates feel heavier and suits lat pulldowns, rows, and face pulls.

Does it come with a bar or weights?

No. The price covers the rack and Smith machine frame; you supply the Olympic bar, plates, and bench. Budget for those before you buy.

When is the B52 cheapest?

It was $1,119.99 at Major Fitness as of November 5, 2026, the lowest of the three stores listing it new. Home gym gear often drops around Black Friday and Memorial Day sales.
