This is a two-battery 36V reciprocating saw kit built on Makita's 18V LXT platform, paired with a brushless motor, variable speed, an electric brake and tool-less blade changes. It cuts up to 5-1/8 in pipe and reaches 3,000 strokes per minute, so it suits demolition and pipe work as much as wood. The kit ships with batteries, a charger, a blade and a tool bag. At $474.99 at Zoro as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price among two stores listing it, so there is no meaningful spread to shop across.

Reception is thin: the listing carries a single 5-out-of-5 rating, which is not enough to show a pattern. Makita's X2 recip saws are generally liked for power and smooth cutting, with weight as the common complaint.
