Questions and answers

Is the Malacasa Elvira set worth it?
At $116.15 for 30 pieces, it works out to under $4 per piece, which is low for porcelain with oven and freezer safety. It suits anyone who wants a full six-person set with a look that differs from plain white rounds.
How does it compare with a basic round porcelain set?
You get the same core pieces plus the leaf-shaped square profile and pigmented glaze. The trade-off is the 7 oz cups and the shaped rims, which are less stackable than flat round plates.
Can the plates go in the oven and microwave?
Yes. Malacasa lists every piece as oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe. Avoid sudden temperature swings, such as freezer to hot oven, which can crack porcelain.
What is included in the 30 pieces?
Six each of dinner plates, dessert plates, salad plates, soup plates and saucers, plus six 7 oz cups. There are no serving bowls or platters.
When is the best time to buy it?
The best new price was $116.15 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Watch for holiday and wedding-season sales, when dinnerware sets are most often discounted.
