Is the MaxKare heated throw worth it?

At $29.85 it is a cheap way to add warmth to a couch or chair. Expect basic build quality rather than plush fabric.

Can I wash it in a machine?

Yes. Unplug the controller and cord first, then wash on a gentle cycle and let it air dry.

It measures 50 by 60 inches, enough for one person's lap and legs. It is not sized for a full bed.

Does it have an auto shut-off?

Check the controller on the listing. Some MaxKare throws shut off after a set time; others do not.

Heated throws drop in late fall and around Black Friday. The current $29.85 at eBay is already near the low end for this category.

Our take on the MaxKare 50" x 60" Electric Heated Throw Blanket

The MaxKare 50" x 60" Electric Heated Throw is a reversible, machine-washable heated blanket sized for one person on a couch or chair. It runs on a corded controller with adjustable heat settings, so it warms up fast and stays on a timer. At $29.85 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end for a heated throw; most corded throws sell for $35 to $60.
