Questions and answers

Is the Mecale rotary hammer worth it?

At $107.98 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it is cheap for a cordless SDS-Plus hammer. It suits light masonry drilling; for frequent concrete work, a stronger hammer from an established brand is the safer buy.

How does it compare with a corded rotary hammer?

A corded hammer in the same price range usually delivers more impact energy and never runs out of charge. The Mecale wins on portability and setup speed, not on raw drilling power.

What size holes can it drill?

The 7/8-inch SDS-Plus chuck takes bits up to 7/8 inch, which covers most anchor and plug holes. Expect it to struggle with larger diameters in hard concrete.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

The listing does not make the kit contents clear. Confirm with the store whether the 20V battery and charger are included before ordering, since a bare tool needs both.

What is the battery runtime?

No amp-hour rating is published, so runtime is unknown. For a handful of holes per charge a 20V pack is usually enough; for a full day of drilling, buy a spare battery.

When is it cheapest?

Only one new price is tracked, $107.98 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026. With no competing listings, watch for seasonal tool sales rather than expecting a price war between stores.

Where is the Mecale 20V Cordless Rotary Hammer Drill 7/8-in SDS-Plus cheapest?
