Questions and answers

Is the Mecale 20V rotary hammer worth it?

At $79.98 at Macy's as of November 3, it is cheap for a cordless SDS-Plus hammer. It suits light home jobs; skip it if you drill concrete often, since 1,000 rpm is slow for that.

How does it compare with a corded rotary hammer?

A corded SDS-Plus hammer usually delivers more impact energy and runs all day without a battery. This Mecale trades that power for cordless convenience at a low price.

What battery does it use?

It uses a 20V lithium-ion battery. The listing does not state capacity or runtime, so check what is in the box before buying.

Does it take standard SDS-Plus bits?

Yes, the SDS-Plus chuck accepts standard SDS-Plus masonry and chisel bits. Regular round-shank drill bits will not fit without an adapter.

What comes in the box?

The listing does not detail the contents. Confirm whether a battery and charger are included, since many budget tools sell as bare units.

When is it cheapest?

Only one new price is listed: $79.98 at Macy's as of November 3. With no other stores to compare, watch for seasonal sales before assuming it will drop.

Where is the Mecale 20V Cordless SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer Drill cheapest?

At Macy's, for $79.98, as of our latest check.
