Questions and answers

Is the Mecale rotary hammer worth it?

At $63.98 at Lowe's as of November 3, 2026, it is a cheap way to get cordless SDS-Plus drilling for occasional jobs. If you drill concrete regularly or need speed, a name-brand rotary hammer costs more but drills faster and has better battery support.

How does it compare with a corded rotary hammer?

Corded hammers in this price range usually deliver more impact energy and run all day without a battery. The Mecale trades that power for cordless convenience and a lower entry price.

What size holes can it drill?

The SDS-Plus chuck and 0.6-inch rating point to small masonry bits, roughly up to 5/8 inch in brick or soft concrete. Expect slow going in hard concrete or with larger bits.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

The listed specs confirm a lithium-ion battery but do not state whether a charger or case is included. Check the box contents at Lowe's before ordering.

How long does the battery last?

Battery capacity is not published, so runtime is unknown. For a 20V budget tool, expect a modest number of holes per charge; a spare battery is worth budgeting for.

When is it cheapest?

Only one store lists it new, at $63.98 as of November 3, 2026, so there is little price competition. Watch for Lowe's seasonal tool sales and holiday promotions for a possible drop.

Where is the Mecale 20V Cordless Rotary Hammer Drill 0.6-in SDS-Plus cheapest?
