How many tiles do I need for a play area?

Each tile is 11.8 inches square, about 0.97 square feet. A 4 x 4 foot area needs roughly 16 tiles, and a 6 x 6 foot area needs about 36.

Is one tile enough for a baby to play on?

No. One tile is only about a foot square. It works as a gap filler or a small cushion spot, not as a play surface.

Does it really have no smell?

The listing claims it is tasteless, but its own instructions say to air the tile in a ventilated place first to clear a faint smell. Expect some odor out of the package.

Wipe with a damp cloth or vacuum it. The listing does not recommend soaking or machine washing.

Will it match other foam mats?

Only if the other mats use the same tooth pattern and 1 cm thickness. Interlocking shapes vary between brands, so check the edge style before mixing.

No price or price history was provided, so there is no basis to say when it is cheapest. Compare the per-tile price against multi-tile sets, which usually cost less per square foot.

Our take on the Meitianfacai Interlocking EVA Foam Floor Mats

This is a single 11.8 x 11.8 inch (30 x 30 cm) EVA foam tile, 1 cm thick, with interlocking teeth on all four sides so you can join it to more tiles. It is sold as one piece, so a usable play or fitness area needs several. The listing's own instructions say to air it out before use to clear a faint smell, which undercuts the "tasteless" claim. No current price or price history was provided, so there is no way to say whether today's price is good.
