How accurate is the GPS boundary?

Consumer GPS typically drifts by several meters, so treat the boundary as a zone rather than a line. Give the dog a buffer so a drift does not trigger a correction.

Is 10.56 oz too heavy for my dog?

That is heavy for a collar. It is reasonable for medium and large dogs and too much for most small breeds and puppies.

Does it need a subscription?

Check the listing for whether the app and GPS tracking require a monthly plan. Many GPS fences bundle a subscription with the collar.

Can I use it without a fence or yard?

Yes, you define the boundary in the app, so it can cover a field or a campsite. It still depends on a clear GPS signal.

It is listed as water resistant, which covers rain and wet grass. It is not rated for swimming or submersion.

Our take on the Meowant GPS Wireless Dog Fence

The Meowant GPS Wireless Dog Fence is a collar-based containment system that uses GPS rather than buried wire to keep a dog inside a boundary you set. It is water resistant and weighs 10.56 oz, which is heavy for a collar and suits medium to large dogs better than small ones. No current price or price history was provided, so there is no basis to say whether today's price is good.
