Is a 12V ride-on fast enough for a young child?

Top speed is usually around 2 to 4 mph, which is right for ages 3 to 6 on flat ground. It is not meant for grass, hills or streets.

How long does the battery last per charge?

Expect roughly 30 to 60 minutes of driving depending on the child's weight and the surface. Charging usually takes 8 to 12 hours.

Does it come with a parent remote?

Many 12V versions include a 2.4 GHz remote with forward, reverse and steering control. Check the specific listing, because base trims may omit it.

What age is this ride-on car for?

Most versions are rated for about 3 to 6 years, with a weight limit near 66 to 110 lbs depending on the model. Younger riders should use the remote and seat belt.

Can two kids ride at once?

Only if the version has a two-seat bench and a higher weight limit. Single-seat models are for one child.

Ride-on cars typically drop around Black Friday and in late-spring clearance. Price history on this page shows whether the current price is near the low.

Our take on the Mercedes-Benz 12V Kids Ride-On Car

A licensed Mercedes-Benz ride-on car for kids, powered by a 12-volt battery and finished in red. It is a battery-powered toy car with working lights, sounds and a parent remote on most versions, sized for roughly ages 3 to 6. It is a gift-class toy rather than a serious vehicle, so the price you pay matters more than the badge.
