Is the Quest 3 worth it at $330?

At $330.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a strong value for a standalone mixed-reality headset. That is far under its $499 launch price, and it still runs the full Quest library.

Should I buy the Quest 3 or the Quest 3S?

The Quest 3 has pancake lenses and a higher-resolution display with a wider field of view. The Quest 3S costs less but uses fresnel lenses and a lower-resolution panel, so the Quest 3 looks sharper.

How long does the battery last?

Expect about 2 to 3 hours of play per charge, less for demanding games. The included 18W adapter recharges it in roughly two hours.

Do I need a PC to use it?

No. It runs standalone with the Meta Quest app library. You can connect it to a Windows PC with the Oculus app and a Link cable or Wi-Fi 6E for PC VR games.

What comes in the box?

The headset, two Touch Plus controllers, an 18W power adapter and a charging cable. A dock, case and Elite strap are sold separately.

When is the Quest 3 cheapest?

Our take on the Meta Quest 3 128GB

The Meta Quest 3 is a standalone mixed-reality headset with full-color passthrough, two pancake lenses and a 2064 x 2208-per-eye display running at up to 120 Hz. It runs on the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 with 8 GB of RAM, so it plays Quest games without a PC and can also stream PC VR over Wi-Fi 6E or a Link cable. The best new price is $330.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with 4 stores listing it new. That is well below the $499 launch price for the 128GB model, so buyers are paying a late-life discount rather than a premium.
