Our take on the Mikasa Trellis White 16-Piece Dinnerware Set

This is a 16-piece bone china set that serves four: four dinner plates, four salad plates, four cereal bowls and four mugs. The white square pieces carry a glossy trellis pattern around the rim, and everything is dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe. At $77 at Wayfair as of November 5, 2026, it sits well below what bone china sets of this size usually cost.

Pros
  • Bone china at a low price for 16 pieces
  • Square plates with a trellis rim that looks dressier than plain white
  • Dishwasher, microwave, freezer and oven safe
  • 26-ounce cereal bowls are generous for soup and cereal
  • Service for four covers plates, bowls and mugs in one box
Cons
  • Only four place settings, so larger gatherings need a second set
  • Square corners chip more easily than round rims if knocked
  • Bone china is lighter and thinner than stoneware, which some find fragile-feeling
  • Mugs are on the small side for big coffee drinkers
