Our take on the Vesteel 12-Piece Stoneware Dinnerware Set

The Vesteel 12-Piece Stoneware Dinnerware Set is a service for four in glazed ceramic: four dinner plates, four salad plates and four bowls, in a black-and-white pattern. Stoneware is heavier and more chip-resistant than porcelain, but it is not oven-to-table for broiler use and it can be heavy for everyday stacking. At $42.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it, a budget entry point for a full four-person setting.

Best forFirst apartments and dorm-to-first-home setupsHouseholds that want a full four-person service in one boxBuyers who prefer heavier stoneware to thin porcelainCasual everyday dining rather than formal table settings

Pros

Full 12-piece service for four in one purchase
Stoneware body resists chipping better than thin porcelain
Black-and-white pattern hides minor stains and scratches
Low entry price for a complete set
Dishwasher-safe glazed ceramic

Cons

Heavy pieces, especially the dinner plates
Not safe for broiler or direct stovetop use
Pattern may not match existing white-only tableware
Only four place settings, so no spares for breakage
