Our take on the Milwaukee M12 12V Brushless Cordless Subcompact Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit with 2 Batteries and Bag

This is Milwaukee's M12 combo kit pairing a brushless 12V drill/driver with a brushless 12V impact driver, plus two batteries, a charger and a bag. The brushless motors and compact bodies make it a light, capable set for cabinet work, assembly and light remodeling. At $139.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with only two stores listing it new.

Best forHomeowners and DIYers who want one compact kitCabinet, furniture and assembly workElectricians and installers working overheadAnyone already on the M12 battery platform
Pros
  • Brushless motors give more runtime and torque than older brushed M12 tools
  • Subcompact bodies fit tight spaces and overhead work
  • Two batteries included, so one charges while the other runs
  • Shares the M12 battery platform with a large range of Milwaukee tools
  • Combo covers both drilling and fastening without buying twice
Cons
  • 12V power falls short of 18V kits for heavy drilling and large lag screws
  • Impact driver is best for light-to-medium fastening, not structural work
  • Kit batteries are typically compact, not high-capacity
  • Bag is basic compared with hard cases

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it over a cheaper brushed 12V set?
For regular use, yes. The brushless motors run longer per charge and hold up better, and you get two batteries and a charger in one box.
Can the impact driver handle lug nuts or deck screws?
It handles light-to-medium fastening like deck screws and assembly bolts. For lug nuts or long structural lags, an 18V impact driver is the better tool.
What comes in the box?
The drill/driver, the impact driver, two 12V lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a carrying bag.
Do the batteries fit other Milwaukee tools?
Yes. The batteries use Milwaukee's M12 platform, so they work across the M12 line of drills, drivers, saws and lights.
When is the best time to buy?
Combo kits usually drop around Black Friday and holiday sales. At $139.99 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is already near the low end of its recent range.
