Our take on the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Combo Kit with M18 Tower Light

This is Milwaukee's M18 FUEL 7-piece cordless combo kit, built around brushless FUEL tools and an M18 tower light that runs off the same 18-volt lithium-ion batteries. The kit covers the core jobsite tools — typically a hammer drill, impact driver, and saws — plus the tower light for area lighting. Milwaukee's M18 line is one of the largest cordless platforms, so batteries and bare tools stay useful for years. At its latest best price it sits near the low end of its recent range, making it a reasonable time to buy if you need several tools at once.

Pros
  • Brushless FUEL motors deliver more power and longer runtime than brushed tools
  • Seven tools plus a tower light in one purchase
  • Batteries and chargers shared across Milwaukee's large M18 lineup
  • Tower light runs on the same packs as the tools
  • Strong resale and parts support for the M18 platform
Cons
  • Kit price is high upfront compared with buying one or two tools
  • Bundled batteries are usually compact or mid-size, not the biggest packs
  • Tower light drains batteries quickly at full brightness
  • You pay for tools you may not need if you only want a drill and driver

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it over buying the tools separately?
If you need most of the seven tools, the kit usually costs less than buying each bare tool plus batteries. If you only need a drill and impact driver, buy those as a smaller combo instead.
How does M18 FUEL compare with Milwaukee's older brushed tools?
FUEL tools use brushless motors, so they deliver more power per battery charge and run cooler. They cost more but last longer under heavy use.
How long does the tower light run on one battery?
Runtime depends on the pack and brightness setting; a compact 5.0Ah pack gives hours at lower output but drains quickly at full brightness. Carry a spare pack for all-day lighting.
Are the batteries compatible with other Milwaukee tools?
Yes. All M18 batteries work across the M18 line, including older brushed tools and newer FUEL models. The charger in the kit also charges any M18 pack.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the seven tools, the M18 tower light, batteries, a charger, and typically a contractor bag or case. Confirm the exact tool list and battery count before ordering, since bundle contents vary.
When is the best time to buy this kit?
Milwaukee combo kits see the deepest discounts around Black Friday, Father's Day, and end-of-year clearance. Its latest best price is already near the low end of its recent range.
