Our take on the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 21" Dual Battery Mower Kit

The Milwaukee M18 Fuel 21" Dual Battery Mower Kit is a cordless, self-propelled walk-behind mower that runs on two 18V 12.0Ah batteries and uses Milwaukee's brushless Fuel motor. It has a steel 21-inch deck, variable-speed self-propulsion, seven cutting heights from 1 to 4 inches, and three clipping options: bag, mulch or side discharge. It weighs 85 lbs with both batteries, which is heavy for a walk-behind. No current price was provided, so its latest best price cannot be compared with its recent range here.

Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee M18 Fuel mower worth it?
It makes sense if you already own M18 batteries and want gas-level power without fuel or pull starts. If you have no Milwaukee batteries, the kit cost is high compared with a comparable gas mower.
How long do the two 12.0Ah batteries last?
Milwaukee rates the pair for roughly an hour of mowing in average conditions. Tall, wet or thick grass drains them faster, and runtime drops as batteries age.
How does it compare with a gas mower?
It matches small gas mowers on torque and cutting width, and it starts with a button and needs no oil or gas. It is heavier than many gas mowers and limited by battery runtime.
What comes in the kit?
The kit includes the mower, two M18 12.0Ah batteries and a charger, plus the bag. Check the listing for the exact charger model and any included blades.
Can it mulch, bag and side discharge?
Yes. It supports all three modes, and the mulch plug and side-discharge chute are part of the kit.
When is it cheapest?
Milwaukee mower kits tend to drop during spring lawn-care sales and holiday promotions. Watch the price history for a dip below the recent range before buying.
