Is the Milwaukee PACKOUT Large Tool Box waterproof?

It is IP65 rated, which means it seals against dust and low-pressure water jets such as rain. Do not submerge it.

Does it lock together with other PACKOUT boxes?

Yes. Integrated locking cleats connect it to other PACKOUT components so you can build a stack.

No. The box has a metal-reinforced locking point, but you supply your own lock.

How much weight can it hold?

Up to 100 lbs, with 2,235 cu in of interior volume.

Does it have a tracker?

There is a mounting location for the Milwaukee One-Key Tick Bluetooth tracker, which is sold separately.

Our take on the Milwaukee Packout Tool Box

The Milwaukee PACKOUT Large Tool Box (48-22-8425) is a 22 x 16 x 11 inch modular tool box made from impact-resistant polymers with metal-reinforced corners and a reinforced hinge. It holds up to 100 lbs and 2,235 cu in, seals to IP65 against dust and rain, and locks via a metal-reinforced locking point. Integrated cleats let it stack and lock with other PACKOUT boxes, and there is a mount for the optional One-Key Bluetooth tracker. At $104.31 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
