Our take on the Mini Smart Projector 4K 1080p Support

This is a small native-1080p projector that accepts 4K input at up to 30fps but displays at 1080p. It stands out for a rotatable body that can throw onto walls, ceilings or the floor, plus auto keystone correction up to ±45° and Wi-Fi 6. The 3W single speaker and 10,000:1 contrast figure are modest for a movie projector, so plan on external sound. No current price was provided, so check the price history before buying.

Pros
  • Native 1920x1080 resolution, not a 480p panel
  • Rotatable body aims at walls, ceilings or floor
  • Auto keystone up to ±45° speeds setup
  • Wi-Fi 6 plus 2.4/5 GHz and Bluetooth
  • Decodes HEVC, AV1 and VP9 up to 4K@30 input
Cons
  • Single 3W speaker is weak for movies
  • "4K support" means input decoding, not 4K output
  • 10,000:1 contrast is a claimed figure, not measured
  • Brightness is not specified, so dark rooms only
  • 3.1/5 from 144 ratings is a below-average score

Questions and answers

Is it really 4K?
No. The panel is native 1920x1080. It can decode 4K files at up to 30fps and downscale them to 1080p.
How big can the image get?
Up to 200 inches, but at that size a 1080p image looks soft and the dim output will struggle. Around 80 to 100 inches is more realistic.
Do I need a soundbar?
It helps. The single 3W speaker is fine for casual viewing but thin for movies, and Bluetooth lets you pair external speakers.
Can I project on the ceiling?
Yes. The rotatable body aims at walls, ceilings or the floor, and auto keystone corrects up to ±45°.
Does it work with a phone?
Yes. It supports phone casting over Wi-Fi 6 or 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth is available for audio.
When is it cheapest?
No price was provided for this page. Check the price history chart for its low points around major sale events before buying.
