Is a balance siphon hard to use?

It takes a few tries to learn the tilt and drawdown timing. Once set, the beam moves the water automatically, so the main skill is grinding and timing the steep.

How much coffee does it make?

The 400 ml capacity is about 4 small cups. Use a medium-coarse grind and expect a clean, light-bodied cup.

Can I brew tea in it?

Yes. The glass brewer works for loose-leaf tea as well as coffee, though you should rinse thoroughly between uses so flavors don't carry over.

Does it come with a warranty?

No written warranty is listed. Inspect the glass on arrival and keep the packaging in case of shipping damage.

What else do I need to buy?

You need a heat source, a cloth or paper filter for the siphon, and a burr grinder. Check the listing for whether a filter and stand are included.

Our take on the Miumaeov Siphon Coffee Maker Kit 400ML/13.5Oz Belgian/Belgium Family Balance Syphon Coffee & Tea Brewer Elegant Double Ridged Fulcrum with Tee Handle

A 400 ml (13.5 oz) balance siphon brewer that uses a tilting beam and counterweight to move hot water between two glass vessels, producing a clean, tea-like cup. The gold-finished double-ridged fulcrum and tee handle are the visual centerpiece, and it holds about 4 cups. It is a showpiece brewer for someone who wants the ritual, not a fast morning machine. No price history was provided, so check current listings across stores before buying.
