Our take on the Mloong Gaming PC (AMD Ryzen 5 5500, RTX 5050, B450M, 1TB SSD, 16GB DDR4)

The Mloong Gaming PC pairs an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 (8GB GDDR6), 16GB of DDR4-3200 and a 1TB PCIe SSD in a white desktop case. It runs Windows 11 Home and uses a 650W power supply with air cooling. The Ryzen 5 5500 is a budget six-core chip and the B450M board is an older platform, so this is an entry-level 1080p build. At $999 at Newegg.com as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

  • 650W power supply leaves some headroom for a GPU upgrade
  • Windows 11 Home preinstalled, ready out of the box
Cons

Questions and answers

Is the Mloong Gaming PC worth $999?
At $999 at Newegg.com as of November 5, 2026, it is priced above what this class of parts usually costs. Comparable Ryzen 5 and RTX 5050 prebuilts often sell for less, so compare before buying.
Can it run modern games at 1080p?
Yes. The RTX 5050 with 8GB GDDR6 targets 1080p, and DLSS helps in demanding titles. Expect high settings in most games and lower settings in the heaviest ones.
Can I upgrade the CPU later?
The B450M board supports Ryzen 5000 chips, so a drop-in upgrade like a Ryzen 7 5700X is possible with a BIOS update. Newer AM5 processors will not fit.
Does it have Wi-Fi?
The listing does not state Wi-Fi, and B450M boards often rely on Ethernet. Plan on a wired connection or add a Wi-Fi card or USB adapter.
What comes in the box?
The desktop with Windows 11 Home installed. Check the listing for whether a keyboard, mouse or monitor is included; prebuilts at this price usually ship the tower only.
Is the 650W power supply enough for a GPU upgrade?
It is enough for mid-range cards, but check the connector type and wattage rating of any new GPU. High-end cards may need a stronger unit.
Where is the Mloong Gaming PC (AMD Ryzen 5 5500, RTX 5050, B450M, 1TB SSD, 16GB DDR4) cheapest?
At Newegg.com, for $999.00, as of our latest check.
