Our take on the Mloong Gaming PC (AMD Ryzen 5 5500, RX 6500 XT, B450M, 500GB SSD, 16GB DDR4)

A budget prebuilt gaming desktop pairing an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 six-core CPU with a Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB graphics card, 16GB of DDR4-3200 and a 500GB PCIe SSD, running Windows 11 Home on a B450M board. It is aimed at 1080p esports and older titles rather than modern AAA games at high settings. The 650W power supply leaves headroom for a GPU upgrade, though the 4GB card is the clear bottleneck. At $759 at Newegg.com as of November 5, 2026, it sits at its only current best new price, with two stores listing it new.

Best forFirst-time PC gamers on a tight budget1080p esports and older titlesBuyers who want a ready-built Windows 11 machineAnyone planning to swap in a stronger GPU later
Pros
  • Six-core Ryzen 5 5500 handles everyday work and gaming
  • 16GB DDR4-3200 is enough for most games and multitasking
  • 500GB NVMe SSD gives fast boot and load times
  • 650W PSU leaves room for a future graphics card upgrade
  • Windows 11 Home preinstalled, no setup cost
Cons
  • RX 6500 XT has only 4GB VRAM and struggles in modern AAA games
  • RX 6500 XT runs on a narrow PCIe x4 link, which hurts on a PCIe 3.0 B450 board
  • B450M platform is older, with limited upgrade path
  • 500GB fills quickly with large game installs
  • No listed Wi-Fi, so check for an Ethernet connection

Questions and answers

Is this PC worth $759?
At $759 at Newegg.com as of November 5, 2026, it is fair for a prebuilt with Windows included, but you pay a premium over building yourself. Compare against similarly priced systems with a stronger GPU before deciding.
Can it run modern AAA games?
It can run them at low settings and 1080p, but the 4GB RX 6500 XT limits texture quality and frame rates. Esports titles like Valorant and CS2 run well.
Can I upgrade the graphics card later?
Yes. The 650W power supply has headroom for a mid-range card, but check the case clearance and confirm the new card's power connectors fit.
Does it come with Wi-Fi?
No Wi-Fi is listed, so plan on a wired Ethernet connection or add a Wi-Fi card or USB adapter.
What is in the box?
The tower with Windows 11 Home preinstalled. A keyboard, mouse and monitor are not listed, so budget for peripherals if you have none.
When is it cheapest?
Budget prebuilts usually drop during Black Friday and back-to-school sales. Track the price history here and buy when it falls below the recent range.
