Does the Modway Olea king platform bed need a box spring?

No. The slatted platform supports a king mattress directly, so a box spring is not required.

What mattress thickness works with this bed?

A standard king mattress around 8 to 12 inches thick sits well; very thick mattresses may cover part of the headboard.

Is the boucle headboard removable?

The headboard is part of the frame and is not designed to be removed for cleaning. Spot clean the fabric with a mild upholstery cleaner.

How long does assembly take?

Plan on roughly one to two hours with two people. The frame ships flat and needs the slats and headboard bolted together.

Is $346.05 a good price for this bed?

It is at the low end of its recent range across the 5 stores listing it new, so it is a reasonable time to buy if the size and color fit.
