Our take on the Morden Fort 2-Piece Farmhouse Chenille Sofa and Loveseat Set

This is a two-piece living room set: an 88-inch sofa and a matching loveseat in gray chenille, with rolled arms, nailhead trim, button tufting and removable cushions. The wood frame is rated to 1,500 lb total, and the pillow back gives a softer, deeper seat than a tight-back sofa. At $977.22 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against. That works out to under $500 per seat piece, which is low for a tufted, nailhead-trimmed set.

Pros
  • Two pieces for under $1,000 total
  • Chenille fabric is soft and hides solid-color wear better than flat weave
  • Removable cushions make cleaning and rotating easier
  • 1,500 lb weight capacity suits larger households
  • Nailhead trim and tufting give a dressed-up look at this price
Cons
  • Only one store lists a new price, so there is little competition to drive it down
  • Chenille and tufted buttons trap lint and pet hair
  • Pillow backs need regular fluffing to keep their shape
  • Gray only; no color choice in this set
  • 88-inch sofa is wide for small rooms

Questions and answers

Is this set worth it at $977.22?
For two matching pieces with tufting and nailhead trim, yes, if you want the farmhouse look on a budget. Expect mid-range comfort and fabric, not heirloom construction.
How does it compare with a single larger sofa?
You get an 88-inch sofa plus a loveseat, which seats more people than one sofa at a similar price. The trade-off is two lighter pieces instead of one sturdier one.
Are the cushions removable and washable?
The cushions are removable, which helps with vacuuming and rotating them. The covers are fabric, not marketed as machine-washable, so spot clean unless the label says otherwise.
Will the 88-inch sofa fit my room?
Measure your wall and doorway first. An 88-inch sofa needs a wall of roughly 7.5 feet plus clearance, and check that doorways and hallways can pass the carton.
What is the weight capacity?
The set is rated to 1,500 lb maximum weight. That is generous for a fabric set at this price and covers most households.
When is the best time to buy?
Furniture discounts cluster around holiday weekends and end-of-season sales. With only one new listing at $977.22 as of November 4, 2026, watch for a Home Depot promotion rather than a competing store's price.
Where is the Morden Fort 2-Piece Farmhouse Chenille Sofa and Loveseat Set cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $977.22, 37% off, as of our latest check.
