Is the Alluravision 50 Deep worth it over the standard depth?

If flame depth matters to you, yes. The deeper firebox sets the flame back and looks less like a picture. If you only want heat and a glow, the standard depth costs less.

How much space does it heat?

At 9,000 BTU it is rated for supplemental heat in a large room, roughly 400 square feet in mild climates. It is not a primary heat source for a whole house.

Does it need venting or a gas line?

No. It is electric and vent-free, so it needs only a power supply. Full 2,800W output wants a dedicated circuit.

What comes in the box?

The fireplace and a remote control. Framing and finishing materials are not included.

Can the flames run without heat?

Yes. You can run the flame effect alone, which draws far less power than the heater.

Only one store lists it new at $1,722.00 as of November 4, 2026, so there is little price competition. Watch for seasonal fireplace sales in fall and winter.

Our take on the Napoleon Alluravision 50 Deep Wall Mount Electric Fireplace

The Napoleon Alluravision 50 Deep is a 50-inch wall-mount electric fireplace with a deeper firebox than the standard Alluravision, so the flame sits further back and reads less flat. It puts out up to 9,000 BTU (2,800W) and includes a remote. It is a plug-in or hardwired unit with no venting, so it can go on most walls. The best new price is $1,722.00 at Tom Antonelli as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent range to compare against.
