Is the Touchstone Sideline Elite Pro 50" worth it?

If you want a large, realistic-looking electric fireplace for a media wall, it is a strong pick. It costs $1,199.00 at Best Buy as of November 4, 2026, and adds smart control, a crackle speaker and deep flame effects over basic models.

How much space does it heat?

It is rated for about 400 sq ft as supplemental heat, with 750W and 1500W settings and a 68-88°F thermostat. It will take the chill off a living room but will not replace a furnace in a large open space.

Can it be recessed or does it only mount on the wall?

Both. It can be wall-mounted or recessed, and it can be plugged in or hardwired. Touchstone recommends professional installation and at least 8 inches of clearance above the unit for anything mounted over it.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?

Yes. It is Alexa and Google certified, and you can also control it with the included remote, the app or the built-in panel.

What comes in the box?

The fireplace ships with enhanced driftwood, painted crushed glass crystals and a remote. The crackle speaker is built in.
