Is the Nectar Metal Platform Bed Frame worth it?

It bundles a headboard, slats and an upholstered metal frame in one piece, which saves buying those separately. At $302.76 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a mid-range price for a twin platform bed with a headboard.

Do I need a box spring with this bed?

No. The frame includes slats, so a mattress sits directly on them. That also means you can use a foam or hybrid mattress without adding a foundation.

What mattress size fits it?

It is listed as a Twin with Twin XL sizing, 38.75 inches wide and 79.63 inches deep. Check your mattress length before ordering, since a standard Twin is shorter than a Twin XL.

How much weight does it hold?

The listed maximum is 300 lb. That covers the mattress and sleeper combined, so it suits most kids and average-weight adults.

How tall is it, and is there storage space underneath?

The frame is 15.25 inches tall with 8 inches from the bottom of the rail to the floor. That is enough clearance for low storage bins and luggage.

What comes in the box?

It is sold as a frame only: the metal frame, headboard and slats. The mattress is not included.
