Our take on the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress California King

The Nectar Premier Hybrid is a 13-inch hybrid mattress that pairs a memory foam comfort layer with a pocketed-coil support core, sold in California King and shipped fully assembled. It sits above the base Nectar in Nectar's lineup, with more foam and a taller profile, and is backed by a lifetime warranty. The listed dimensions (38 by 75 by 13 inches) do not match a California King, which measures 72 by 84 inches, so confirm the size before ordering.

Questions and answers

Is the Nectar Premier Hybrid worth it over the standard Nectar?
The Premier Hybrid adds a coil core and a taller 13-inch profile, which gives more bounce and edge support than the all-foam Nectar. It costs more, so it makes sense if you want a hybrid feel rather than pure foam.
What size is this mattress actually?
The listed dimensions of 38 by 75 inches do not match a California King, which is 72 by 84 inches. Confirm the size with the seller before ordering.
Does it need a box spring?
No. A hybrid this thick works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base. A box spring is optional and mainly adds height.
Is it good for couples?
The coil core gives better edge support and easier movement than all-foam beds, but hybrids transfer more motion than pure memory foam. Couples who wake each other easily should weigh that trade-off.
What sheets fit a 13-inch mattress?
Use deep-pocket sheets rated for mattresses 13 inches and taller. Standard sheets may pull off the corners.
When is the best time to buy?
Nectar discounts most around major holiday sales and Memorial Day and Black Friday events. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
What do buyers say about the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress California King?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 1,600 ratings.
