Is the Neu Master 2-in-1 worth it?

For occasional trim and hobby work with a compressor on hand, yes. It costs far less than separate nailer and stapler units. Pros who use a nailer daily should look at a dedicated brand-name finish nailer.

What compressor do I need for it?

Any compressor that can hold about 70 to 120 psi with a standard quick-connect fitting will run it. A small pancake compressor is enough for trim work.

What nails and staples does it take?

It uses 18-gauge brad nails down to 5/8 inch and matching 18-gauge staples. Check the fastener gauge and length before buying a box.

Does it come with a battery?

No. It is a pneumatic tool and contains no battery; it runs only on compressed air through a hose.

Is it good for framing or decking?

No. An 18-gauge brad nailer is for trim, molding and light assembly. Framing and decking need a larger-gauge nailer.

Our take on the Neu Master Pneumatic 2-in-1 Brad Nailer and Staple Gun

The Neu Master is an air-powered 18-gauge tool that drives brad nails and staples from one body, aimed at trim, casing and light woodworking. It runs on a compressor at up to 120 psi and weighs 5.39 lb, so it is heavier than many finish nailers but needs no battery or cord. It fires 18-gauge brads down to 5/8 inch, which suits small trim and panel work rather than structural fastening.
