Is the Contend v3 good for walking 18 holes?

Yes. The Fresh Foam midsole and CUSH+ insole are built for cushioning, and at 11 oz the shoe stays light. Most owners rate comfort as its strongest point.

How does it compare with the Contend v2?

New Balance says the v3 updates the materials and adds an easy-to-clean upper on the same platform. Cushioning and the spikeless outsole carry over, so the change is refinement rather than redesign.

Are these shoes really waterproof?

The FantomFit upper is waterproof and covered by a 2-year warranty. Owners report dry feet in dew and light rain.

Do they run true to size?

They generally fit true to size, but some owners find them narrow. If you have wide feet, size up in width or length.

Can I wear them off the course?

Yes. The spikeless NDurance rubber outsole is designed for natural foot movement and works on pavement and in the clubhouse.

When is the best time to buy?

The best new price is $109.95 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, with 5 stores stocking it. Golf shoes usually drop further at end of season and around spring model clearances.
