Is the Switch worth it over the OLED model?

The OLED model has a 7-inch screen, 64 GB of storage and a better kickstand. Choose this 32 GB model if you mostly play docked or want the lower price; choose OLED if you play handheld a lot.

How much storage does it have, and can I add more?

It has 32 GB built in, and part is used by the system. A microSD card adds space for downloaded games; a 128 GB or 256 GB card covers most libraries.

How long does the battery last?

Nintendo rates it at roughly 4.5 to 9 hours depending on the game. Demanding titles like Zelda run closer to the low end.

What comes in the box?

The console, the dock, two Joy-Con (Neon Red and Neon Blue), Joy-Con straps, an HDMI cable and an AC adapter. No game is included.

Can two people play with the included controllers?

Yes. Detach the two Joy-Con and each works as a separate controller for local two-player games.

Discounts are most common around Black Friday, the holidays and major retail sales events. Prices also dip when a newer model is promoted.

Our take on the Nintendo Switch Console Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con

The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console: dock it to a TV or slide it out and play handheld. The Neon Red/Neon Blue model ships with two Joy-Con controllers that detach for two-player play and add motion control. It has 32 GB of built-in storage, expandable with a microSD card, and Wi-Fi for online play and downloads. The 32 GB model is the original, non-OLED version; the OLED model adds a larger, brighter screen and more storage.
