Questions and answers

Is $215 a good price for this rug?
It is a reasonable price for a 9 x 12 polyester rug; most large synthetic rugs sell for $200 to $400. Lowe's lists it at $215 as of November 8, 2026, and only two stores carry it new, so there is little room to undercut that.
Is this rug soft enough for a living room?
It is a low-pile polyester rug, so it feels flat and firm rather than plush. It works well under a sofa and coffee table, but add a rug pad if you want more cushioning.
Can it handle pets and kids?
Polyester is durable and stain-resistant, and the low pile traps less dirt than shag. Vacuum it regularly and blot spills quickly to keep it looking new.
Does it work on hardwood floors?
Yes, but use a rug pad to stop slipping and protect the finish. The low pile also lets doors pass over it more easily.
What size room does a 9 x 12 rug fit?
It suits a medium to large living room, fitting a sofa, chairs and coffee table with front legs on the rug. Measure your seating area first, since 9 x 12 is one of the larger standard sizes.
Is it made in the USA?
Yes, the Nourison Isla is listed as made in the USA.
Where is the Nourison Isla 9 x 12 ft Light Indoor Area Rug cheapest?
At Lowe's, for $215.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Nourison Isla 9 x 12 ft Light Indoor Area Rug?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Lowe's, The Home Depot.
