Is the Nourison Passion rug worth it?

For a large, low-cost synthetic rug in a Bohemian style, yes. It is easy to clean and OEKO-TEX certified, but expect a thin pile that benefits from a pad.

Does it need a rug pad?

Nourison recommends one. A pad adds cushioning, reduces sliding and helps the rug lie flat, especially on hard floors.

Is it good for homes with pets?

It is not listed as pet friendly. The low polypropylene pile cleans easily, but claws and accidents may shorten its life.

Can it go over carpet?

Yes, it is listed for use over carpet as well as hard floors. Use a pad or gripper to keep it from shifting.

What sizes and shapes does it come in?

The Passion collection comes in several rectangular sizes and runners; this listing is the 10' x 12' round. Check the size before ordering for a large room.

When is the best time to buy it?

Rug prices dip during major sales events and seasonal home promotions. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.

Our take on the Nourison Passion Area Rug

The Nourison Passion is a machine-made polypropylene area rug in a Bohemian style, listed here in a 10' x 12' round size with a low 1-inch cut pile. It is OEKO-TEX certified, easy to clean, and rated for moderate foot traffic, so it suits living rooms, bedrooms and home offices. The synthetic build keeps it affordable and stain-friendly, but it is not marketed as pet friendly and a rug pad is recommended. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.
