Our take on the Unique Loom Blake Penrose Rug

The Unique Loom Blake Penrose is an 8' x 10' indoor area rug in polypropylene with a 0.5-inch pile and a multicolor Oriental spot pattern. It is built for easy care: stain and fade resistant, shed-free, and marketed as kid and pet friendly. Its lowest recent price was $89.55 on October 30, 2026, against a high of $99.50 on October 28, 2026, so the spread is narrow and the current price sits near the bottom of that band.

Questions and answers

Is the Unique Loom Blake Penrose rug worth it?
At $89.55 to $99.50 for an 8' x 10', it is a low-cost, stain-resistant rug that suits busy rooms. Expect synthetic feel rather than wool softness.
How does it hold up with pets and kids?
The polypropylene pile is stain resistant and does not shed, so accidents and crumbs wipe up easily. A rug pad helps keep it from sliding under running feet.
How long does it take to flatten out?
Owners report it ships rolled tightly and can stay lumpy for days to weeks. Laying it flat in a warm room and reverse-rolling the edges speeds it up.
Does it need a rug pad?
No pad is included. A pad is recommended on hard floors for grip, extra cushioning and to protect the backing.
When is the price lowest?
The lowest recent daily price was $89.55 on October 30, 2026, versus $99.50 on October 28, 2026. The range is narrow, so waiting rarely saves much.
What sizes and colors does it come in?
This listing is the 8' x 10' rectangular in the multi spot pattern. Other sizes and colorways exist in the Blake Penrose line, so check the size before ordering.
