Our take on the Novilla 6 inch Full Size Medium Gel Memory Foam Mattress in a Box

The Novilla 6-inch is a medium-firm gel memory foam mattress sold compressed in a box, in Full size. It is the thinnest of the Novilla line, which also comes in 8, 10, 12 and 14 inch heights. At $129.60 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed and sits at the low end for a Full foam mattress. The 6-inch profile suits bunks, trundles, guest rooms and kids' rooms more than a primary adult bed.

Questions and answers

Is the Novilla 6-inch mattress worth it?
For a bunk, trundle or guest bed, yes. At $129.60 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it costs little more than a good air mattress and lasts longer. For a main adult bed, spend more on an 8- or 10-inch model.
How does the 6-inch compare to the 8- and 10-inch Novilla?
The 6-inch is the thinnest in the line and gives the least support. The 8-inch and up add foam depth for heavier sleepers and side sleepers, at a higher price.
Does it work on a bunk bed?
Yes. The 6-inch height keeps kids safely below the guardrail on most bunk beds, and a Full fits standard Full bunk frames.
How long does it take to expand?
Most foam-in-a-box mattresses reach full height within 24 to 72 hours. Give it a day before judging the feel.
Is it good for side sleepers?
Not ideal. At 6 inches there is little cushioning for hips and shoulders, so most side sleepers do better on a thicker medium or soft mattress.
When is it cheapest?
Target lists it at $129.60 as of November 4, 2026, and it is the only new price shown. Mattress-in-a-box prices often drop around major sales, so compare before buying.
Where is the Novilla 6 inch Full Size Medium Gel Memory Foam Mattress in a Box cheapest?
