Our take on the Novilla 6 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress with Bamboo Charcoal

The Novilla 6 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress is a budget mattress-in-a-box for a twin bed, built with gel-infused memory foam and a bamboo charcoal layer. At 6 inches it is thin, so it suits kids, bunk beds, guest rooms and light adults rather than anyone wanting deep support. The best new price is $102.46 at Target as of November 4, 2026, and only two stores list it new, so there is little room to shop around.

  • Gel-infused foam is designed to sleep cooler than plain memory foam
  • Bamboo charcoal layer targets odor and moisture
  • Ships rolled and boxed, easy to carry upstairs
  • Medium feel suits most sleepers
Cons
  • 6 inches is thin; heavy adults will feel the base underneath
  • Not enough support for side sleepers who need cushioning
  • Twin only in this listing, so no larger sizes here
  • Few stores stock it, so price comparison is limited
  • Foam mattresses need time to expand and air out after unboxing

Questions and answers

Is the Novilla 6-inch mattress good for adults?
It works for lighter adults and back sleepers. Heavier adults and side sleepers will likely find 6 inches too thin for comfort and support.
How long does it take to expand after unboxing?
Most foam mattresses in a box reach full height within 24 to 72 hours. Give it a day before judging the feel, and air it out if there is a smell.
Does it need a box spring?
No. It works on a slatted bed frame, platform base or bunkie board. A solid, flat base gives the thin foam the most support.
Is the cover washable?
The cover is typically spot-clean only, so use a mattress protector if kids or pets use the bed.
When is the best time to buy it?
Mattress prices drop around major sales like Memorial Day and Black Friday. At $102.46 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the low end for a twin foam mattress.
Where is the Novilla 6 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress with Bamboo Charcoal cheapest?
At Target, for $102.46, 53% off, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Novilla 6 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress with Bamboo Charcoal?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Target, eBay.
