Questions and answers

Is the Zinus 6 inch mattress good for side sleepers?

Yes. The medium-plush foam cushions shoulders and hips, which suits side sleeping. Back and stomach sleepers usually want a firmer, thicker mattress.

Is 6 inches thick enough for an adult?

It works for lighter adults and occasional use. Heavier sleepers will feel the base sooner and may want 8 to 10 inches of foam.

Does it need a box spring?

No box spring is included. It works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base; a traditional box spring adds height but is not required.

How long does it take to expand after unboxing?

Zinus says the mattress typically reaches full shape within 48 to 72 hours. Some odor may linger for the first day or two.

Is today's price a good one?

At $145.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is near the bottom of its recent range. Twin foam mattresses this thin rarely drop much below $140.
